- Minimum income required for eligibility: $40,000 p.a.
- Contactless payments: American Express Contactless Payments chip technology allows you to use this card for payments. This card is also eligible for use with Apple Pay.

David Jones Amex Credit Card FAQs
Q. What are the Eligibility Criteria for Amex Credit Card?
To apply for one of its American Express credit cards, David Jones says you must be able to satisfy the following criteria:
- Be over 18 years of age.
- Be an Australian citizen, or permanent resident of Australia, or holder of a current Business Long Stay Visa (subclass 457).
- Have a good credit history with no payment defaults.
- Earn gross (pre-tax) income of at least $40,000 p.a. for the standard card and $65,000 p.a. for the platinum card
- If self-employed, have been trading for at least 18 months, or 12 months if applicant already holds another AMEX card.
